My First Film Clip

This will be my first ever film clip, for the latest single off my debut album “Clay”.

Hey there!

My name is Jack Biilmann, I’m a Canberra based singer song writer; trying my very best to kick some goals and earn a crust off the back of my passion.. music.

Last year I self funded, recorded and released my debut album “Myself To Blame”. The reception so far has blown me away, with two tracks being spun on Triple J, becoming a Triple J Unearthed Featured Artist, having a chat to Rosie Beaton, getting a plug in the Sydney Morning Herald and being added to some random hip-hop website’s weekly playlist!

I’ve also been noticed by the A&R Department’s Matt O’Connor, the man behind 17 top 10 albums in Australia. Matt wants to release my song “Clay” and had a glowing review for me:

“Ripper track here. Great tempo for radio, killer roots sound. Your voice is a real asset mate, definitely a signature voice. This track is in the right register for your voice and really sells. Melodies and harmonic structure are on point with great folk/roots overtones. I’d be very happy to get behind this release as I believe you have a special sound.”

I’m stoked to say the least. I’ll be funding the release, however I’d love to get the most legs possible out of it, produce a film clip and have it premiered on a major site, serviced to rage and be a key promotional tool for the track and myself as an artist.

I’ve engaged some key Canberra creatives to come up with ideas and shoot the film clip, but a grant like this would go a long way into ensuring those creatives get paid and produce a high quality clip at the same time.

You can listen to “Clay” here:

Cheers for taking the time to read my bid, I’d love your vote!

Why you should support
My First Film Clip?

I’d love people to get behind this project and show faith in me as an artist.

Not only will it be hugely beneficially towards getting my name out as an artist, it will be a huge vote of confidence that I am travelling in the right direction with my career and have the support of the people I am doing it for.

I believe I can deliver a high quality product the people of Canberra can be proud to have come 100% off the back of Canberra creatives.

Which resources do you need for the project?

100% of this funding will go towards gear hire, venue hire, make-up, props, catering and paying creatives involved.

Where will My First Film Clip
go in the future?

The film clip will be used as the key promotional piece of my A&R Department Single Servicing. It will be sent out to 5000 blogs, radio stations and media outlets. It will be the crowbar that a dedicated team of music industry professionals use to leverage my career.

It will also be a hugely beneficially promotional tool for any future shows I do or for any venues I play at in the future.

If the track’s uptake is sucessful and I am presented with commerical opportunities through my music, all funds will go towards allowing me to be a professional musician and live my dream; all the while bolstening the Canberra creative scene.

Personally it will take a huge chunk of the cost involved with this project off my back and stop my wallet from burning to a complete crisp.
