It’s a new project that fosters collaboration between Australian based Artists and African based Artists in promoting their music and arts
Vuli Vuli just commenced doing his debut of Hiphop shows since last year in Australia and is pushing boundaries even with limited resources. Internationally, Wasanii Mtaani/Artists in the Hood has helped in putting up music and arts public spaces for performance, presentation and showcases as exemplified by the Summer Academy 2013 (Sweden), The Foreign & Commonwealth Office’s ESVIC 2014 Gal Power Event (London) and Mozilla Firefox’s Mozfest 2014 (London). In Africa Wasanii Mtaani is conceptualizing a festival called Made In Afrika™. Made In Afrika™️ is a genre-free, utopian, aesthetical sonic space + festival designed to support public good and green causes across Africa
We are envisioning enlisting a lot of Australian and African Acts and consolidating a dedicated quarterly festival. We are also looking at involving international organizations, corporate organizations, and government agencies in organizing for an exchange program between Australian and African acts.
A small percentage of what is collected through these events will be donated to high impact charities in across Australia and Africa.
People should support this because it will break down barriers and people learn to understand and love different cultures.
To be able to make this alluring collaboration between Vuli Vuli and Wasanii Mtaani/Artists in the Hood happen and make the 5As possible the following needs to happen:
Vuli Vuli needs about $500 to be able to consolidate his music and artwork into a CD and some merchandise that he will be able to sell during his tour while at the same time creating awareness about the 5As enroute. Wasanii Mtaani/Artists in the Hood needs about $500 to marshall its support for 5As in Africa. $500 will be used for Brand Development=$150, Marketing=$200, and Investor Relations=$150. Brand Development Monies will help us in catering for designing branding concepts, strategies, and visuals. Investor Relations Monies will help us cover internet costs and phone call costs for chatting with the key investors both in Africa and Australia.
